DNA samples can be sent to the lab as tissue sampling units (TSUs) or tail hairs. The lab prefers TSUs.
To get started you’ll need a TSU Applicator, a pack of TSUs and it can be helpful to have a barcode scanner (like a checkout chick) that can connect the TSU barcode to the animals EID or VID in your crush side system (e.g. Gallagher or TruTest).
Testing can also be done on blood or semen samples. Please contact us for further information regarding this kind of testing.
